Good News Club® is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship in which trained teachers meet with groups of children in schools, homes and community centers. Each week, a team from our church will bring the Gospel to the children at Butts Road Intermediate.  Our club will meet at Butts Road Intermediate on Fridays (2:20-3:50) beginning October 19th until May 3rd.  Our time will include songs, Scripture memory, missions story and review games & activities focused on the lesson’s theme. We’re still looking for volunteers to help out with the club meetings and other administrative tasks.  Ideally, we’ll have a team of 10-15.   CEF provides specialized training for teachers, including materials.   Some of this training is done online and additional training will be done at the Kick Start training in September.  If you’re interested in helping out with the GNC at Butts Road Intermediate, please contact Gene & Ida Hardwicke at (540) 903-2624 or ijhardwicke@gmail.com.Training information: The Kick Off  will be at Atlantic Shores Baptist Church (1861 Kempsville Rd. Virginia Beach, Virginia), September 8th, Saturday from 9am to 12:30pm. This year we will be in the fellowship Hall in the church itself.  (This is not a training event, but will be a great opportunity to meet with other GNC teachers/coordinators.) The Kick Start training for new teachers will be on September 22nd at Kempsville Baptist Church ( 5204 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach ) from 9am to 3pm.   Please let us know prior to August 24th if you’d like to attend.
